Adventure in Durbuy, 25 September 2011
Colleagues. You spend two hundred days a year in their company. You know exactly where your territory ends and theirs begins. You read their body language perfectly. You know their favourite ringtones and their persistent fillers. They hold no secrets for you, or hardly any.
Until you bump into them at a Family Day. Balancing on a slack wire in a wood, dangling helplessly from a sky-high death slide, wrestling with wires and snaplinks, swerving through bends, scared witless, no hands, with a big smile, bared teeth and bottom on show, giving the victory sign, fists punching the air, hands full of kids, or stretched out in the Indian summer sun.
